1. Who are you?

We are, of course, Clever d.com, and we are an independently owned internet based company.

2. What so good about Clever D then?

See for yourself how good we are by book marking us in your browser and using us for a week’s trial. Clever d aims to be a central point of reference for all products and services related to your home exterior, this is why we are predominately, a home and garden exteriors directory.

3. Do I have to pay to use it?

If you are a consumer, then No absolutely not, it’s completely free to use. Browse around to find what you are looking for, or do one of our targeted searches, you may be pleasantly surprised at the results we can give you.

4 .Where are you based?

Our head office is in Wetherby nr Leeds, West Yorkshiire, England, which is also where our customer enquiry centre is based , and we plan to have other affiliates throughout the UK, with future plans to expand into Spain, France, USA, Canada, Ireland and Japan. We accept listings from any country in the world. Our site is being launched with UK consumers and businesses in mind, and includes all offshore islands, PLUS we now include Gibraltar and the USA.

5. What do you do?

We provide listings; information, products and services which we are confident are of interest to the home and garden lifestyle consumer. We also provide listings, product placements and advertisements of interest to business consumers. We provide an easy to use, premium search facility that gets results.

6. What geographic area do you cover?

Due to the global appeal of our brand and the ability to find highly targeted search results for businesses and consumers, we are wherever you want us to be! Initially we are launching the service in the UK, with further expansion planned later.

Facilities exist for the user to find very specifically targeted results and we can tailor your exposure to these consumers as and when and how you require with our great range of advertising deals to suit all budgets.

7. Why do you do it?

We started up Clever D partly due to frustration with the current batch of search engines for the home and garden and this led us to formulate our unique system to the benefit of all business and consumers within the home and garden industry. Soon we will have a unique shopping basket facility where you can place details of the companies whom you wish to contact you in your basket.

This is especially handy if you are looking for quotes for home improvements or premium products or services such as exterior wall coatings, roof repairs or UPVC double glazed windows. We are confident that we have put together an information source which is both pleasing to the eye, fun and easy to use, and above all, gets the results we want and more importantly the results YOU want!

We actively want to make searching for home and garden information FUN for all users and we try and keep our site professional, yet informal.

8. How can I add my business details to your website?

Easy, just click here and follow the on screen instructions. Please browse through the categories to select the appropriate one for your site. If you cannot see a category that fits your company, then suggest a category when you submit your company listing to us for review.

9. Do you cater for people with disabilities and impairments?

Yes, of course, all users of the site are treated the same, no matter what your background or circumstances! We actively welcome the registration of individual self employed people and business who represent the needs of people with impairments and disabilities. Our site is designed to be easy to use, no matter what your ability is with computers or the internet. 10. Why should I pay you for a listing on your site when I can get one for free?

Good question! There are many directories out there on the internet that offer an initial FREE listing, and then push you to upgrade it, but it could be suggested that often the payment is money down the drain and you don’t get the sales enquiries you thought you were going to get.

Clever D has a unique system that attracts highly targeted and relevant visitors who are all actively looking for YOUR product or service and prepared to make contact with you to find out more. They can make contact by going to your website, from ours, or call you, fax you, SMS text you, write to you, whatever you want, we can provide this for you.

A paid listing gives far more information to your potential customers than a free listing and is easier for the consumer to find you, and, more importantly, place an order with you, although we will never pressure you to upgrade, its your choice, not ours!

With a paid listing, you are in more categories, you can add more text and keywords, more products, more links, more contact details, and that means that people searching for your, or similar products, will find you easier, it’s as simple as that. 11. What is so different about Clever D then?

The site is arranged in a clever (!) way so that if the internet shopper or researcher is looking for a particular service, such as swimming pool filters, for example, they get a page full of just that, swimming pool filters, and not irrelevant nonsense that you have to pick through to find what you want. In addition if you are looking for a builder in Kent, that is what you will get, and NOT a list of fruit & veg shops in Glasgow, for example.

12. I already have a website, why should I add my company to clever d?

As the internet continues to grow, and more and more people are using the internet as part of their daily lives, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find individual websites. Search engines and directories are in some cases, full to bursting point and it becomes just as difficult to find your site in each of the major directories and search portals. We believe that the future of the internet lies in niche, specialist directories, such as clever d. We bring the home exterior to the forefront of people’s internet shopping experience, and we want you to be a part of it. If you sell yours, or other peoples products, or if you offer a service that is related to the home or the garden, please add your company to our directory.

13. How long do I have to advertise with you?

The answer is simple,as long as you like,however if you have a free listing please consider upgrading, the more you pay for one of our listings, the more leads and enquiries you should receive.

All new listings get a free showcase link on the front page, valid until someone else signs up.

14. If I want a premium listing, how can I pay?

That’s easy. Just click here to go to the “add your company” page, create an account, fill in the required fields, add the information about you, your business and/or your company, and then click on UPGRADE.

We accept payments from all major credit and debit cards and you may pay us in any denomination, such as pounds, euros or US dollars, through Paypal our secure payment processing facility. Payments are taken every month, usually on the day you sign up for an account.

You can also send us a cheque,pay by bank transfer etc.Please request further details via our contact page.

All payments are processed an a highly secure server so rest assured your details are safe and are not stored or kept anywhere by us. We reserve the right to edit a listing for better results, plus we reserve the right to reject a listing, however we will try and give you feedback as to why we have rejected it.

15. Once I add my company, can I change the details at any time?

Yes of course. Your log in email address and password must be kept in a safe place. You can log back into your account area at any time and change, edit or upgrade your directory entry.

16. When will my listing show up on your site?

Immediately after you have filled in all your details in the account area and added your company to a category, your link and your company details will be LIVE, worldwide.

(NOTE: If you don’t add your company to a relevant category, it will NOT show up anywhere)

17. I’m still not 100% sure. Can I talk to someone?

We don’t offer a telephone service at the moment, however if you have any questions or queries, please fill in your details on the contact page and someone will get back to you, usually within 24 hours, sometimes sooner. We’re here to help you.

18. Do you deal with advertising agencies?
